Air defences over Leningrad Oblast downed 17 Ukrainian drones in the early hours of August 4, regional Governor Alexander Drozdenko wrote on the Max messaging platform. The governor first announced a drone threat at 04:05 Moscow time and later confirmed the interception of five, then 15, and finally 17 unmanned aerial vehicles.
Debris from the attack struck a warehouse zone close to the settlement of Krasny Bor in Tosno district, causing damage. Drozdenko reported the hit in a post at 05:38, while the all-clear was given at 06:23.
One person suffered injuries, the governor said, noting that details were still being established. The Interfax news agency cited the same statement, while earlier reports from Iz.ru and Mail.ru had not yet included the casualty update.
The Russian defence ministry has not released its own figures for the incident, and all information so far comes via the governor’s social media updates. The affected warehouse area has not been further described.
