Drone strikes kill five in Moscow region and five in Ukraine overnight

A Ukrainian drone attack on the Moscow region killed five people and wounded 10 on Tuesday morning, Moscow region governor Andrei Vorobyov reported. Most of the damage was in the Chekhov district, where fires broke out at the Novoselki industrial zone.

Russia's defense ministry said air defenses shot down 320 Ukrainian drones overnight. Separately, the death toll from a drone strike on the resort of Arkhipo-Osipovka on Monday rose to seven, including three children, with 58 wounded, Krasnodar authorities said.

In Ukraine, Russian attacks killed at least five civilians. In Sumy, six guided bombs hit civilian infrastructure, killing three people including two girls aged five and 10, said regional military administration head Oleh Hryhorov. In Mykolaiv, an 89-year-old woman died and seven were wounded, from ages two to 83, said regional administration head Heorhii Reshetilov.

Drone strikes also hit Wildberries warehouses in Russia. A warehouse in the Leningrad region caught fire, Wildberries said, and drone debris caused partial damage to a warehouse wall in the Tver region. Ukraine's unmanned systems forces said 15 Wildberries warehouses have been targeted in the past 18 days, 13 of which caught fire.

In Kharkiv region, one person was killed and seven wounded over the previous 24 hours, said regional governor Oleh Syniehubov. In Kramatorsk, Donetsk region, two glide bombs wounded four people, regional governor Vadym Filashkin said. Turkey urged both countries to ensure safe navigation in the Black Sea after two Turkish-owned ships were attacked by drones.

The UN said civilian deaths in the war have exceeded 16,000, rising annually. Neither side's casualty claims could be independently verified.
